Razorhurst Tours! Starts 10th December

Embark on a personal journey into Darlinghurst’s violent history, and experience the story of Razorhurst. A time when Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh were the most powerful women in Sydney, and ruled the streets.

Join us on a walk through East Sydney and see actual locations of residences, brothels and other interesting landmarks and stories.

And who better to show you the sites and tell you the stories, than present day madam of Sydney’s underground, burlesque producer, agent and media personality Jac Bowie and Australia’s Queen of Burlesque, Imogen Kelly.

See & experience...

  • Tilly Devine’s final Brothel in Palmer Street that she sold in 1968
  • The property in Palmer Street where Tilly Devine famously shot her second husband, Eric Parsons soon after their wedding.
  • The home where Kate Leigh shot and killed John William “Snowy” Prendergast and was raided and caught for drug possession in 1930
  • The final Kate Leigh residence from 1951 until her death in 1964. See the church in Devonshire Street where over 700 mourners paid their respect.
  • Visit the Village Hotel, (formally Tradesmen’s Arms) local to the Razorhurst scene and where Tilly Devine met Eric Parsons.
