Cassandra Atkins – Co-Director

Leaving Tasmania at 18, with little experience and money in her pocket, Cassandra head to Melbourne and started her own fashion label “Plastic Bat” and partnered with current gothic fashion boutique “Phantazeum”, the partnership proving highly successful, and expanding the business from a small inner city shop into a larger premises in Prahran.
During this time Cassandra had the opportunity to learn the craft of corsetry, focusing on steel boned corsets. It didn’t take long for her to develop her own client base of performers, who would encourage Cassandra to return to performing herself. Surrounded by beautiful costumes, feathers and incredible props, Cassandra decided to pick up dance again.

She spent 8 months training and rehearsing with a 7 piece Show Girl revue that were set to be housed at Melbourne’s famous Crown Casino. The contract unfortunately fell through, but refusing to give up, Cassandra worked with 3 of the girls and 1 other performer an created her own troupe, The Cyber Kittens, and after 4 weeks of rehearsing, organised a 3 week tour from Melbourne to North Queensland and the troupe stayed together for 2 years. They would reform again in 2004, touring again and performing for corporate events – always to rave reviews.

After The Cyber Kittens, Cassandra continued to create custom made corsets, and started developing her own solo routines and signature costumes and pushed her way to the top of the Australian show girl scene. She went on to win Miss Nude Southern Hemisphere, and placed 3rd in the USA for Miss Nude World and won Entertainer of The Year.
