Renowned striptease and burlesque artiste Beatrix Von Bourbon (London, UK) combines her unique appearance with a natural grace and an elegant sense of rhythm to create breathtaking performances that thunderbolt directly into the hearts of her audiences. Her performances fuse unconventional striptease themes with humour and glamour; frequently subverting modern preconceptions of burlesque and the tattooes body. Beatrix has recently directed her costuming skills to a sideline project; producing elegant and bespoke up-cycled shoes now available in her store Shake It Doll Shoes.

Her ever-growing client list includes many recognisable names from across Europe. She’s performed acts for companies such as Google, Channel 4, Saturn (leading German electronics store), SparKasse (national German bank), Skin Deep: Tattoo Jam Convention and Oxford University. She’s charmed audiences at Latitude Festival (2010), Roncalli’s Apollo Varieté (Duesseldorf, DE), Friedrichsbau Varieté (est. 1898, Stuttgart, DE). When not working overseas, rarely a month passes without her appearing on a stage in London’s infamous West End. Complementing her on-stage work, Beatrix occasionally works as a model. Her striking appearance has won over clients such as clothing/lingerie labels Smet Clothing (by Christian Audigier), Lou Lou Loves You, and Sugarlesque; renouned photographer Uwe Ditz; artists Gemma Parker and Fiona Wilson; and various international tattoo magaines. With a plethora of experiences and anecdotes to call upon, Beatrix mentors the tadpoles of the Neo-Burlesque scene, frequently hosting well-attended ‘backstage’ workshops and one-on-one burlesque tuition.
